These are the Rib and Cable socks, by Nancy Bush, from Interweave Knits (fall 2005). I followed the pattern and cast on 60 sts., but only because they are for someone with feet smaller than mine (Hi, Carrie!). I like this pattern -- it's a quick knit, and it involves a heel turn and toe that I'd never seen before. These were knit on a 2.25mm circular needle with one skein of Fleece Artist merino. I might have to knit a pair for myself.
