This scarf, like the recent mittens, was knit from Mountain Colors 4/8's wool (colour "huckleberry"). I used a 5.5mm needle and a free pattern found on Rachael's blog. Basically it's a nine-stitch braid cable flanked by seed-stitch. Pretty!
